Immediate danger — live location alert
Only for real emergencies — for example suicide risk, kidnap, abduction or someone being taken against their will. It sends your exact live location to the Behind Every Mask crisis team and keeps updating it while you move, on foot or in a vehicle.
It does not contact 999 by itself. Nothing is sent until you confirm on the next screen.
Save your details now — before you ever need them
Responders need your full name, date of birth and a working mobile or email. Saved only on this phone, so in a crisis you only press and hold.

This app does not replace 999
Call 999 first, then send a report. Emergency services cannot be sent by email — a report reaches a real person on our team who calls it in.

If there is no internet or signal
Calls and texts do not need internet, and an offline emergency page is saved to the phone after the first visit.
- If anyone is in danger, call 999 first — it works with no data.
- Cannot speak safely? Call 999 and press 55.
- Give a street, postcode, building or landmark.
- Say if the person is under 18, and who is with them.
- When signal returns, send the report too.
Tip for parents: after installing the app to the home screen, open the offline emergency page once and add it to the home screen too, so it is one tap away.
BEHIND EVERY MASK is a free crisis and instant referral service. No charges, ever.
